Traitors among the pirates are said to be stranded on the topside for sport, as it’s practically a guarantee that, if you get lost up there, you will die. There are many abandoned and broken ships from the snatcher willows, a type of willow tree whose branches extend even toward the sky to pluck out unlucky ships trying to pass through. |

In the center of the nest is a town square with many bright lights, colorful paper lanterns, and festivities. This is Corsair, the court of the queen of sky pirates. Her throne is made of stone and wrapped in the skins of hunted animals from Topside. Other sky pirate captains come to pay their respects, tribute, and to curry favor from the queen. |

The Black Market is the largest market in all of Khthonia and Elysia, and overruns the alleyways of the Nest. The stalls are draped with black cloth and the merchants sell most anything, from illegal weapons and surgeries to military technology and stolen goods. |
