All levels are welcome here. Don’t worry about your level as an RPer, because we designed this site to be for everybody. So, whether you’re just starting, been at it for a couple of years, or you’re a dinosaur like me in the online RPing world, you’re more than welcome to play here. II. THE BLUE is rated PG-13. We focus on some adult themes and allow the following in posts: drug abuse, swearing, alcohol, violence, and reasonable adult romance. The Role Player's Anonymous RPG Rating System rates us as L2-S2-V2. This means that: L2 - Swearing permitted. Infrequent instances of the F-word permitted. S1 - Sexual content is not Permitted. Please fade to black. V2 - Violence is permitted. Explicitly describing torture, rape or abuse is disallowed but may be referred to. The above was taken from here after we received the rating. III. One account per character. Account names can be whatever you'd like, but the display names must be the first and last name of your character in capital letters. Please do not put symbols or numbers in the display name. Also, you may join up to two characters before you need to buy a new one. IV. Listen to and follow the directions of the staff. Unless one of my staff members tells you to jump off of a bridge, please listen to them and do as they say. The staff members of THE BLUE only want you to thrive. They will never try to hold you back. On that note, do not ask to be put on the staff. V. Don't ruin the game. This means no starting arguments, no trolling, no flaming, and no being an attention whore. If I see that you have a poor attitude that is making other players unhappy, I will confront you. If you refuse to have a better attitude or continue to offend others you will be banned. A member who just keeps causing trouble is a member that isn't worth having. VI. Please realize that the staff will not eat your face. Really, guys. If any of you have a problem with the game or with a player - including if it's a staff member and especially if it's me - you should tell one of us. Preferably me! Don't ever think you'll be bothering us or that we'll think poorly of you if you have a complaint. We've worked hard on this site so that you can enjoy being here. We aren't going to ignore you or think you're annoying if you're having any sort of trouble. Just remember to be respectful when you approach us. VII. Please tell an admin if you're going to quit or quit a character. This is so we can free up your face claim if you have one, move the application to archives, and fix the census! We promise we won't ask why, or pressure you to stay. We just want to know ahead of time so we can keep the site information up to date. VIII. I saved the best and most important for last: respect your fellow role players! Talk to each other, get on friendly terms with each other, do not fight, and don't you dare discriminate against one another.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,background-image:URL('http://i54.tinypic.com/1247l9x.jpg'); width:360px; padding:30px; border:4px solid #316292; border-radius:40px; -moz-border-radius:40px; -webkit-border-radius:40px]POSTING I. Please use proper spelling and grammar. A mistake here and there is understandable, but don't make it a habit. Chatspeak and 1337 are absolutely forbidden, unless you're joking around.
II. Write at least one healthy-sized paragraph. I am not going to impose a word count, but I also won't tolerate one-liners or script-style (dialog only with little to no description) posts. Also, when responding to people in game play, please try to mirror the length of the post(s) of the person or people you are playing with. If someone replies to you with three paragraphs, you should aim to write back three paragraphs. If, for some reason, you can't mirror the length of your RP partner's responses, PM the other player(s) and make sure a shorter response is alright. One more thing: do not write a novella-length post, either. Those are intimidating and generally hard to reply to, no matter what your level. Because of the reward system, posts that are 50 words and up are awarded and posts that are under 50 and over 1250 words are not.
III. The board runs on liquid time. You may be in as many threads as you can handle, but please keep the travelling restrictions of your character in mind when you post.
IV. Power-playing and God-moding are not allowed. Power-playing is the act of controlling someone else's character, whether it be by role playing their character doing something that their player did not already mention they were doing, or the emotions that the character is feeling at the time. God-moding is the act of playing a character beyond their limits, such as giving a human character super strength even though they aren't a weight-lifer or do anything to achieve such great strength.
V. Threads are death-disabled unless otherwise stated. Please do not kill anyone's character unless they have given you permission or have agreed to enter a death-enabled thread.
VI. If your thread is going to contain mature content, you must put a warning in the first post. Or at least put an M in the title of your thread.
VII. Plagiarizing won't be tolerated. If you have copied a character, a post, a novel, a movie--any form of plagiarism, really--it is grounds for immediate banning.

Face claims are optional. However, the face claim list must be honored. If you've decided not to use face claims, please check the face claim list and refrain from using a character on that list to depict your character.
II. All icons used must be 100 x 100. They must also be of anime, manga-style, or video game-style only.
III. No images that stretch the board! I think 425 pixels is an adequate width.
IV. You are not allowed to use original artwork from Deviant Art or art from a web comic, unless you get permission from the creator. In this case, please take a screen cap of their message giving you permission. You may, however, use original art made for you depicting your character.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,background-image:URL('http://i54.tinypic.com/1247l9x.jpg'); width:360px; padding:30px; border:4px solid #316292; border-radius:40px; -moz-border-radius:40px; -webkit-border-radius:40px]C-BOX I. Keep it PG-13! Remember, little kids like to surf the internet, too.
II. Greet and help each other out. Basically, be good to each other. I've personally left too many games because I felt very unwelcome on the c-box. Let's keep ourselves open to others.
III. Do not talk poorly of other members or sites. That's not nice at all.
IV. DO NOT ADVERTISE IN THE C-BOX. The only links I'll allow are resource links, non-pornographic and non-discriminatory pictures, etc.
V. Do not be annoying. This means no whining, complaining, arguing, sob stories, taking over the c-box, spamming (spouting random crap excessively), or being cruel. By sob stories, I don't mean, "my grandma/grandpa/pet died today". I mean telling us you're about to self-mutilate yourself or start rambling about everything that is wrong in your life. Everyone has problems, but that doesn't mean everyone wants to hear about your problems in the public chat.
VI. Do not argue or debate about politics, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, or race. I didn't want to do this, but due to some past events in the c-box I have decided to ban debates on these subjects.
VII. This isn't a rule so much as a playful warning: If you overuse a word, Pasc will most likely censor it. Mostly as a joke, and the censor will be very innocent. If the word is violent, or angry, or is always used in a violent or angry context then it will be censored permanently.
VIII. This is another rule that's more of a warning: do not say you are bored on the cbox unless you want Pasc to give you something to do. It's an RPG, go post, plot, use the LRP, advertise for us... Basically, you have no excuse to be bored.
This should go without saying, but if you break a rule you will be banned from the c-box. How long is dependent on the severity of the crime. |

However, we have no qualms when it comes to protecting the integrity of the game and the enjoyment of the players. If you cause a lot of trouble (i.e., flaming and harassing members and/or the staff), cheat the systems, plagiarize, steal from the site, and/or constantly break the rules, you will be banned immediately. |
