(Seriously, who the heck asked if a doll can impregnate a woman or if one can carry a child? That's just...No...Bleh.)
So, I'm planning on making a doll character. BUT, I have NO idea where to start. I have my FC picked, and a basic idea of who they are, but that's it.
What I'd like to know is more on the social levels of dolls. Can they be noblity? I know that they are made to serve humans, but to what degree? Are they toys or workers? Both? The only doll I've personally observed on here is the doctor on one of the pirate crews.
I'm also curious as to the age range of a doll. Seeing as they are an advanced AI, they could possibly be 20 mentally but only a year old physically (as in, a year from when they were assembled), from what I understand. And, how durable are their bodies?
I would really love to know more about dolls so that when I create mine, I'm not floundering around for ideas and coming up with stuff on the fly. I really don't want to go against what they were made for.

(quite a few people XD)
Dolls cannot officially be nobility, but there are cases where dolls take the place of lost children and therefore their masters are more like their parents and if said parents are nobles then by default, the doll would be considered a lord or lady. They wouldn't be allowed to rank up in the noble system since they aren't considered 'people'.
Dolls can be both toys and workers. Usually if a doll is a HAWK, or a gangster, etc. it means the doll is owned by the organization and was made to increase the number of workers in said organization. They can also be used as toys for kids, basically as interactive play mates.
Yes, that's correct! A doll is usually programmed with the age group that it appears, or what the person wants. So while most dolls will act more like their apparent age group, their physical bodies could either be older then that or much younger then that. And their structure and durability is all up to you. Some dolls won't be made to last, while others could get into a horrible car crash and survive without a dent. The durable ones are definitely the most expensive.
And so long as you remember that a doll's purpose is always originally to serve their master, you're golden!

(That's, just...Ew. That's like wanting to have a baby with your desktop. o.e;;; )
Thank you so much, Pasc! This was really helpful. Now I can finish Sigmund without worry of doing something wrong! <3
