NICKNAMES: he doesn't really have any nicknames, as he prefers to be called just 'austin.' RACE: human. AGE: twenty-three. he's young for his position of authority, but he obviously worked for it (surprising, considering how immature and lazy he was in the past.) GENDER: male. SEXUALITY: straight, extremely straight. austin has always been a major fan of women. RESIDENCE: he lives on the ship he works on, obviously, but he was born on the isle of adney. OCCUPATION: austin's a quartermaster these days, of a ship captained by his former von braun crewmate, dietrich braach. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION REFLECTION: austin looks upon himself highly, despite his new, more mature demeanor. he used to have a predisposition to think he's better than everyone else, but these days he's a bit more humble. he likes to keep himself looking presentable, as that was always how he was raised. his clothes are usually of the highest end and usually pretty fashionable. he doesn't wear too many bright colors, and keeps his wardrobe palate to a happy medium of neutrals and darker colors. this leaves him fashionable but not flamboyant; austin is definitely straight (though he does like to flaunt his money through clothing). not that he ever had any problems with that, as he was quite the ladies man, which he attributed that entirely to his looks and his sense of style. these days, he's still go the flashy clothes, but his craziness is a bit more subdued. as for his looks, austin used to be extremely self-confident, and still is to this day, just less out-there about it. and why shouldn't he be? he's certainly a sight for sore eyes. his hair is naturally light blond, and he doesn't really take time to style it properly. especially now that he's on a ship, his hair just takes whatever style it feels like; it usually ends up looking like a messy mop on top of his head. somehow it works for him, though (and a quick finger combing usually helps tame it down). his facial features are strong and resemble those of a typical aryan with a strong jaw and high cheekbones. his blue eyes help with that aryan-like appearance when paired with his blond hair. he's relatively well-built for the rest of his body, and his height of 6'2" doesn't leave him looking lanky or unproportionate. his weight stays at a steady 160 lbs, which keeps him looking rather healthy and bright. FACE CLAIM: denmark, axis powers hetalia PERSONALITY AND MORE THE GOOD: when austin wants to be, he can be a pretty nice guy. he doesn't show this side of him often, however; usually it's reserved for family, friends, and girlfriends. deep down inside, austin really is a kind person but his ego and attitude oftentimes get in the way of that, leaving a sour taste in most people's mouths. and since he lacks a lot of friends and usually keeps his female relationships short-term, this is usually kept inside. this said, he's a loyal friend who keeps his promises and would never cheat on a girlfriend he was intensely serious about. austin likes to keep quiet most of the time, and doesn't get too loud or rowdy unless he's got a decent amount of alcohol in his system. this is starting to change with his recent exposure to the sky pirate lifestyle, but he still keeps his voice down. he's also good at keeping his emotions in check and doesn't let them interfere with decision-making, unless its something extremely serious (such as a complete aversion to someone or a girl he's extremely in love with). he's also quite athletic and likes to keep himself in shape. he has a decent amount of muscle on his frame and he likes keeping it that way. not that he's a body builder, because he definitely doesn't fall into that category. with all the lifting and work he has to do on the ship, he gets his workout without even trying. lately, as he's grown older, he's also becoming more mature, which used to be something he looked upon with chagrin, though he's coming to terms with it now. THE BAD: since he's matured, austin has dropped some of his elitist tendencies, though he still thinks he's above certain people, especially poorer people and gangsters. he really doesn't like gangs. his bad attitude has decreased with age, but nowadays he's highly depressed at the death of his girlfriend, which also leads to extreme pessimism that he now possesses. he's also easily annoyed and isn't afraid to let that show. austin has always liked to drink, and though that might not seem so bad, its getting to be a habit with him. he adamantly denies being an alcoholic, however, and he probably will never admit it. BELIEF: austin really doesn't believe in anything, though his parents were devout aureolites. he was forced to attend church services as a child and he absolutely hated it, as he isn't a fan of being told to do things. WEAPON SLOT: Handgun, .54 caliber horse pistol LIKES AND HOBBIES: these days, austin is a bit of a recluse, which is an exact polar opposite of himself before. after his girlfriend died, he withdrew more and more in to himself, much how he did after the only other woman he loved broke his heart. unfortunately, his previous coping methods of being a whore aren't exactly working for him, as he now feels guilty every time he sleeps with a woman. sunny, bright days are still his favorite. he loves to bask in the sun, preferably by some water, like a lake or ocean. unfortunately he doesn't get much exposure to that, being up in the sky, but when he gets a chance to see water, he jumps on it. he was raised in a clean house, so he likes things to be clean. this obviously raises the question why he decided to ditch his nice, clean house to live on a sky pirate ship, but all answers to any questions will be answered in due time. DISLIKES AND TURN-OFFS: as austin likes the sun, he's not a big fan of clouds and rain nor does he like cold weather. he's always just preferred warm weather; though one would expect him to prefer dark and cloudy days due to his depression, he really doesn't. austin dislikes not having control, though he's starting to grow out of the "i need to have everything i want" thing. feeling out of control is something he really, really hates, and tries to avoid at all costs. he's still not keen on being forced to do things, as his experience with religion as a young child has proven, and likes that he gets to give orders these days. he's also not a fan of sluts, more repeatedly so than before. though he still sleeps around, and sometimes with skanky women, he really doesn't enjoy it. ASPIRATIONS: his biggest dream, these days, is to become a captain. it was something he'd always dreamt of but it's becoming something more and more prevalent to him as he gets older. he's happy that he's taken the next step towards that (when he became a quartermaster) but he knows that he'll really feel accomplished when he steps on to his own ship. LOOKING BACK: not to sound redundant, but austin's best and worst memories involve his late girlfriend, amelia. his favorite memory, of course, was when she agreed to go out with him on their first date. it was something he'll never forget, nearly "magical" in his haze of love, though the memory is now one of great pain. he still likes to think about it sometimes, though it usually ends up with him lying in bed, depressed. on the same token, his least favorite memory was opening up the letter that contained the news of amelia's death. apparently her father wrote back to one of the letters he sent her, telling him that the young girl from lawless had died, though he wouldn't specify how it happened. the old man claimed it was too painful for him to bring up. it was even more painful for austin, who didn't even get to see her before she died, or attend the funeral that would have happened.
