Julietta Mira Hetzer was not the type of girl that would shirk anything physical. Her mother, a servant of the household of her biological father, raised her daughter to be as tough as any man. Sure, Julietta liked 'girly' things. She was known as a child for her short cropped hair and her bright pink bucket hat, t-shirt, blue jeans and pretty princess sandals. But that same bucket hatted kid was also seen playing sports and playing cops and robbers with the other servant children and the children of the lord of the house; her half-brothers and sisters. It was a huge family in the house that her mother served, and that wasn't counting Julietta. But Julietta was a bit different then most of them; unlike the other children, she actually looked like the lord of the house, not like her mother nor the lady. Julietta was usually oblivious to this. It wasn't until she was much older that she saw the comparison, but she didn't care by then. She knew the lord of the house cheated on his wife and had his own personal harem. It didn't matter. He wasn't her dad. She didn't have one. Her male influence was from her best friend, Anthony. The whole house knew that they were the best of friends; she had found him off on his own, reading a book. Anthony, one of the children who somehow miraculously wasn't a child of the lord of the house, was one of the quiet boys. He didn't talk much, and Julietta liked that. He was one of the kids of the house that was the most likely to go on to learn at the university, and that was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He was often ignored, and he often ignored others... but not Julietta. Julietta MADE him acknowledge her. She was just as rough with him as any of the boys, and they turned into great pals the first time Julietta punched one of his bully's lights out. That never stopped Julietta from associating with the other boys though. She was very outdoorsy, and was into activities like horseback riding and hunting when she got the time. Cricket was another great sport that she sometimes played with the noble kids of the household. She grew up as a happy-go-lucky kid, one that was loud, slightly rude, but only meant kindness to those she met. Anthony normally saw her as someone exactly like him; he knew that she wasn't a boy, but she may as well be, right up until they both went through puberty. Anthony grew feelings for her first, while Julietta just treated him like a brother until she finally noticed it. The staring, the awkwardness. It was almost like he was meeting her all over again. More signs came up, until finally the day came when she just laughed quietly and then gave him what he wanted. An answer. In the form of a kiss. She was sixteen years old. credit :: columba of on the edge | [atrb=style, padding: 10px 10px 0px 0px; width: 110px;][atrb=vAlign,top] the early years of Julietta. |
