This is where you come in order to redeem karma from your threads. If you need to brush up on your karma related uses, please read [ this thread ] for more information. Here are a few quick guidelines that explain the system so you can appropriately redeem your karma. I. As with inventories, karma-redeemed threads will be kept track of on your character's profile. In this post, known as your character's "karma bank", the staff will keep an updated list of the threads you have completed, archived, and saved, including how much karma each thread is worth. II. When you complete a thread, use the following code to reply to this thread. Please fill it out completely and remember to appropriately calculate your karma or a staff member will not add the karma to your account. Once everything is filled out properly, a staff member will add the thread to your Karma Bank and add the appropriate karma to your character's account. This way everyone will have a running list of which threads you have redeemed and finished. It should also be noted that completed threads will earn you an additional two karma points per thread page of quality writing (this mostly meaning 1 paragraph + per post). You do not need to calculate these bonus points; the staff will do that so long as you fill out the appropriate code, and subsequently lock the thread since it is done. If your thread is inactive, dead, or you wish to archive it because your partner had been deleted, please reply to this thread with the following code. Please be warned that once redeemed, archived threads will not be dug up from the archives in order for you to resume posting at a later date. Dead or inactive threads will stay on the boards so long as the remaining participants wish to wait. If you decide to archive it at a later date, simply state 'pre-redeemed' where you should put the karma count. If an additional player joins your thread after you have already redeemed your karma, please use the following code to amend your karma situation. Keep in mind the karma redemption rules as the staff will be checking your math: You only get one additional karma point for each post YOU make after the new character's arrival, and you may only redeem a total of 5 additional KP. The observant will notice that none of those codes are for active threads. This means that, even if you have earned the maximum 5 KP for your current thread, you cannot redeem your karma until you complete the thread, or your partner gets deleted. Away messages and long-term absences do not qualify as reasons to redeem karma until the player misses an activity check. VI. If you have any questions regarding this system, or find an error in your Karma Bank, do not hesitate to PM a staff member with your concerns. We certainly don't want to jip you on your earned karma. On the flipside, it really won't look good if you are caught tampering with your Karma Bank or trying to avert the system. |
