Q: In the rules I noticed there wasn’t anything on activity. Is there an unwritten rule on activity? No, there isn’t. I designed THE BLUE to be a fun, relaxing atmosphere for people who love to write and role play. I don’t want to pressure anyone to post by enforcing expectations on them. I mean, of course I’d love it if members were posting every day, or at least twice a week, but I’m not going to punish anyone who isn’t nor am I going to delete them because they are inactive. I will, however, archive their things and remove their face claim from the face claim list if they fail to respond to the monthly activity checks. That way when they’re ready, they can always come back and pick up where they left off! Q: What about story arcs? I don’t know, why don’t you tell me? This site was designed for the players to create their own story arcs. In fact, I dare your character to try and get elected king, or to assassinate a head figure, or to do something extraordinary to change the course of the world I’ve created… that’s the fun and beauty of role playing, ne? And THE BLUE in particular has been set up so that your character can achieve aims like that. All you need is to be active and to follow the appropriate systems. Q: Is there ____ in the world of THE BLUE? Seriously, guys. This is your RPG too, and I wish you’d all take it by the balls and let your imagination go buck wild. You can have just anything and everything here, except for aliens, brand names (e.x., soda exists but Coca Cola does not), and time travelers… or really, anything that just wouldn’t plain fit in the context of the world. Q: Are the NPCs canons? Can I audition for one? No, they are not and no you cannot. The NPCs exist so that characters on the game have a unified idea of who the world leaders are and to establish order in groups such as the gangs and the nobles. However, your character can take over the position of any NPC if they work towards it. Q: Can my character be related to an NPC? No, they cannot. Q: Why do I need to buy character slots? I think that’s silly. There are many players (and I am one of them) that create more characters then they really have time for. In order to put a damper on this I decided to add character slots to the OOC Shop. Since you can only earn venny through in character posts, you will basically be earning your right to create another character by being active. Q: What do Dolls look like? Are they like the robots in Terminator? A: Your Doll character can look and even feel as human or as non-human as you desire. Different creators have different tastes, so Dolls are varied in appearance. Some will look like walking hunks of scrap metal, while others will be difficult to tell apart from an actual human. Dolls can also be modeled after other races, such as chimeras. Q: Can a Doll impregnate a woman if they have a sperm sample? A: NO. And I really wish people would quit asking that, that’s really freakin’ creepy. And before anyone asks, a female Doll cannot carry life or get pregnant no matter what kind of odd system you can come up with for your Doll to do so. Q: Is Aether poisonous? Can it be safely digested? A: ... What the I don't even... no it's not poisonous but don't eat it either. Would you eat a rock that you find on the ground? ... Don't answer that. Please don't have your characters eat aether, guys. Q: Would you please tell me what code you used that allowed the board to ------? A: Sure, no problem! And so long as it isn’t a custom code made by Hamlet specifically for the use of her sites, we’ll be happy to share!
