[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=background,http://i53.tinypic.com/2dvq6j6.jpg,true][atrb=width,453,true] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME: Finnegan Slater NICKNAMES: Finn (never Finnegan >B-l What self-respecting gangbanger goes by Finnegan, eh?), Rail RACE: Mutant - enhanced vision AGE: 18 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Heterosexual RESIDENCE: City of Hogwash OCCUPATION: Freshblood, used to be a mole for the Ravage Family PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION REFLECTION: Cool and awesome--that was what Finn liked to think whenever he took the time to look at himself in a mirror. He wasn't vain, not really, but that didn't mean he couldn't take pride in his looks. He possessed a shock of red hair. Not ginger red, but bright crimson red. With some yellow and orange highlights, someone with bad eyesight might think his head was on fire, but he'd never been one for dieing his hair. It was spiky, often swept to one side, and somewhat long. If it wasn't for the green bandana--or some other color depending on which one he'd grabbed--the longest strands would reach his chin. Even with said headpiece, there was always a single lock of hair that would hang down the center of his face. Contrasting greatly with his messy hair was his eye. Bright green in color, it's emerald hues would seem even more piercing in certain lighting. His right eye, however, was always hidden under a plain black eye patch. Even if he removed it, it would have been utterly pointless seeing as he'd lost it some fight. Anyway, Finn felt that it added to his rebel look. Nigh unforgettable, if he could say so himself--not many people had bright red hair and an eye patch. He had fair skin, slightly tanned. He had a lean frame, with hard sinewy muscle. Fit and in good health. Often times dressed in a black, high-collared jacket with silver trims, underneath he always wore something along the lines of an olive shirt with a wide neck. He's usually sporting a worn scarf wrapped loosely around his neck. FACE CLAIM: D.Gray Man > Lavi PERSONALITY AND MORE THE GOOD: Finn is a lighthearted individual. He's unusually carefree, like someone a few years younger. He's humorous always ready for a laugh. A joke here, a joke there, he's fond of mischief. As a result, this guy is often wearing a grin of some degree. He tends to cast a playful light on even the most serious occasions--he just has to throw in his own two cents, and make some kind of smart aleck-y comment. More often than not, this takes the form of sarcasm. He is also quite devious, able to spin lies with apparent ease. It makes it hard to discern fact from falsehood--a skill which he uses often to get other's off his back. Stubborn, Finn is as headstrong as a mule. He won't back down without a fight, and will not give out an inch unless faced with indisputable facts. Unfortunately, this can sometimes make him seem argumentative. Forever hold his peace? Not likely. Going against his allegiance to the Scarlet Guns is his altruistic attitude. Always hesitating to draw out his gun, it's usually a bluff unless he has no choice. He regrets ever having to kill or shoot anyone, and harbors guilt whenever he does. Needlessly to say, it gets in the way of his duties. THE BAD: Sometimes, Finn will have bouts of depression, frustrated as he is by his inability to remember anything from his past. It's especially infuriating when he's judged for something he can't even remember doing. If it was some sort of punishment, he had no idea what it would be for, so there would be no lesson learned anyway. Impatient, Finn is not the best at waiting for things to happen. He'd much rather be doing something than just sitting around, and can do pretty rash things. Similarly, he has a hard time with keeping his temper in check. Even when he knows it's best to keep his mouth shut, there are times when he'll just burst out and darn the consequences. In the department of love and related matters, Finn can be quite clumsy. Either he can be oblivious to it, or be reduced to a stammering, blushing idiot. However, there is a darker side to his personality, a piece of his old self from before he got amnesia. Whenever it's triggered, Finn becomes almost the exact opposite. He's cold and emotionless, completely unaffected by the suffering of others. Any mercy he might have had before evaporates, to be replaced by the ruthlessness of a killer. Friendships go out the window. Whereas he was simply fun-loving before, it becomes downright sadism, bordering bloodthirstiness. Always aiming to kill, or at least to maim. BELIEF: Finn has no religion, though he is a firm believer in second chances. And diplomacy. And that sugar is--so that religion nuts can fully grasp the gravity of it--Aureole's gift to mankind. WEAPON SLOT: Handgun LIKES AND HOBBIES: Finn has a massive sweet tooth. Nothing can ever be too sweet--the more the better!--for him, and if he ever says so, then one can be sure that the sky is falling. Be it a beverage, a solid, or anything in between (jello?), anything's game. Pastries are among his favorites. Unfortunately, considering the state of affairs in the Down Below, the extremely high quality ones are usually beyond his reach. He often fantasizes about what kinds of treats there might be up above on the Isle of Adney. On the plus side, Finn is immune to having sugar highs...usually. Aside from his food tastes, he is also quite fond of pulling people's legs--not literally, figuratively. Sarcasm is a big part of his repertoire, along with making up some farfetched story about something he "witnessed" and then not bothering to clarify. DISLIKES AND TURN-OFFS: Formalities are one of his pet peeves. Just a simple introduction is fine, but otherwise Finn is a very casual about everything. Logically, he hates being addressed by his full name and is quickly irritated by it--a sure way to rub him the wrong way. Another one of the things he hates is being judged on something he didn't ASPIRATIONS: His short-term wish is to be able to visit the Isle of Adney and have a taste of their "fancy food", or rather, the confectioneries. LOOKING BACK: Considering he only remembers as far back as a few months, it would probably best to focus on the most important event in his life. Prior to becoming a real member of the Scarlet Guns, Finn had been a mole for the Ravage Family posing as a member of the Guns. When one day they found out, he was ambushed on his way back from relaying some information. He fought back as best he could, of course, but he was outnumbered and caught off guard. One powerful blow to his head by a metal rail bar--amazing what things a person could use as an impromptu weapon--left him unconscious with a near fractured skull. He woke up dazed, confused, duct-taped to a chair with a blinding head-ache and being interrogated by some woman named Scarlet. At first they thought he was playing dumb before deciding that his obliviousness about everything was genuine. Ever since then he'd been a member of the Scarlet Guns, and nicknamed Rail for some reason he is not aware of. MISCELLANY: Finn suffers from retrograde amnesia. Sometimes he'll have flashes of memories from before, normally in the form of dreams. While he's pretty interested in remembering, fellow Scarlet Gun members try to keep him unawares.
