NICKNAMES: Bedlam, Bedbug, Beddy bye, "that son of a bitch", etc.; the name Bedlam is because all he does is get into trouble with the town. RACE: human AGE: seventeen GENDER: male SEXUALITY: bisexual, but prefers the ladies RESIDENCE: Junkyard Downs OCCUPATION: Hovercraft racer, baby! PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION REFLECTION: Bedlam, looks wise, is a mixture of both his mother and father. He has his father’s olive skin that tans very easily, as well as his father’s fine dark brown hair that looks more black than brown on most days. He also has his father’s broad shoulders, large hands, and slender fingers. However, he unfortunately didn’t get his father’s height. Standing at 5’8”, Bedlam has always been teased by his mates about his lack of height. However, Bedlam doesn’t think he’s short at all; just that he has really tall ass friends, who he also teases for being tall. Bedlam has a lot of his mother’s features, especially in his face which is somewhat delicate for a guy (which is yet another thing his friends enjoy teasing him about). Like his sister, he also inherited his mother’s golden brown eyes. Being a racer, Bedlam does work out a lot but he doesn’t actually have a lot of muscle on him. His arms look strong without looking defined; there is only an outline of the muscles that lie underneath. He also only has a hint of abs, as he finds maintaining a six pack ‘too much work’ but it’s something he wants to work on in the future. Due to a high metabolism, Bedlam weighs in at 144 lbs, which is pretty skinny and causes some of the neighbors to always comment on how he should eat. Bedlam eats constantly and whatever he likes, which pisses his sister off to no end. FACE CLAIM: Kon from Amatsuki! PERSONALITY AND MORE THE GOOD: Bedlam is possibly one of the most charming and charismatic people you will ever meet. He attracts friends like honey attracts flies and always seems to know the right compliments to dish out. He surprises and sometimes worries people with his courageous attitude, which stems from his bold and reckless behavior. While the people who tend to be the butt of his jokes don't find him so funny, Bedlam has a good sense of humor and he likes to make people smile and lessen tension with humor. He's also very playful and affectionately teases the people he loves. He's very assertive and confident, as if he's certain he will succeed at everything he hopes to accomplish. Even though he may seem like a jerk, he's actually a good kid with a kind heart and will always be there when people need him. THE BAD: Bedlam, for all his good intentions, can be quite the emotionally manipulative ass hole. If someone’s pissed him off, he’ll say that one thing he knows will make them more upset than anything else just to hurt them. His confidence can also border on the cocky side, and he pulls a lot of bold and stupid crap under the impression that he can always pull off anything if he tries hard enough. His cockiness also leads him into some pretty reckless behavior. He doesn't have a little voice in his head to tell him to quit while he's ahead, nor does he have the desire to quit either. Unfortunately, part of Bedlam's reckless nature leads him to self-destructive behavior such as drug abuse. He’s quite selfish and obnoxious too, and if he isn’t the center of attention he’ll do something to put the spotlight back on him. As if all this wasn’t enough, a lot of Bedlam’s past romantic relationships – the very few steady relationships he’s ever had – have all been ruined by his overbearing and overprotective nature. When Bedlam even remotely cares for someone he's incredibly protective of them, to the point that he may make large demands for them not to do things that would, in his opinion, compromise their safety. He's a pretty demanding guy in general, but when it comes to his friends and loved ones he wants to be both their tyrant and their fortress. Bedlam also inherited his father’s violent temper. He doesn't exactly have a short fuse he does have an explosive temper. When he's angry he rages and when he rages he tends to break things. Or people. Whatever is the closest thing he can hurt, really. However, he has never been physically abusive in his relationships. Anyone he has ever beaten or tried to beat has always been male (and never a male he was seeing romantically), as he always hated how his father physically abused his sister. BELIEF: Bedlam is an atheist, but once in a while he'll pray to Aureole if he needs something. LIKES AND HOBBIES: Bedlam has always loved hovercraft racing ever since his father took him to see his first race at six. Like any little boy with an obsession, everything he had when he was a kid was relevant to hovercraft racing. The pictures of his favorite male racers have been replaced with posters of the race queens. The hovercraft toys that he had as a child have been replaced by a collection of actual pieces and parts of famous hovercrafts that his sister was able to get for him. Just like his sister, Bedlam enjoys cooking. However, unlike his sister, Bedlam is actually good at it. He can take just about anything and can make it taste amazing, even if it doesn’t always look so appetizing. He also takes his cooking very seriously, but only because he enjoys all the compliments he gets. He’s tried to teach his sister, but she has a black thumb when it comes to making food. DISLIKES AND TURN-OFFS: Bedlam hates people who are phony, pretentious, and downright weasels. He prefers it when people are honest about themselves rather than trying to hide who they are in order to look good. Because of this, he dislikes prejudice too (except for one... it's stated below). Aside from that, Bedlam also has a severe dislike for his sister's cooking - because, honestly, who wouldn't? - and girls who are incredibly clingy. He doesn't like commitments except for the ones he makes to his sister, Beth, since she's the only family he has left. Due to his overprotective nature, he hates it when guys so much as glance at Beth in a funny way. Not that that happens often, but every once in a while when a guy with a Susie Homemaker fetish or some really drunk patron comes along Bedlam is ready to muscle them out the door. Bedlam also hates to read, not because he finds it boring or because he’s illiterate like most people in Khthonia, but because he’s dyslexic. He’s embarrassed to admit he’s dyslexic too, and always tries to get out of having to read things. And, although this may sound mean, Bedlam has a thing against fat people. Since he and his sister grew up working themselves into the ground for small amounts of food, he really doesn't take kindly when he sees people who look as if they're overfed. ASPIRATIONS: Bedlam's dream is to become a Class S racer so that he and his sister can live in Elysia. It's been a tough road, but ever since he was twelve he has been training his ass off to debut as a racer. LOOKING BACK: Bedlam's fondest memory was when he was six. He got to meet his idol, a popular racer, and he took Bedlam for a ride in a hovercraft. Ever since, Bedlam has been hooked on becoming a racer. Bedlam's worst memory is when his father was imprisoned by The Black Collars for not being able to make payments on time. Bedlam, being twelve, couldn't do anything to stop them. That moment has always made him feel weak; he felt like if he had been strong enough, or earned enough money along with his sister, they could have saved their father. When they got the news last year that their father died in prison due to illness, Bedlam felt even more guilty for not being able to get him out of there.
