PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION REFLECTION: Beth isn't someone you'd look twice at. At least, not unless you were really looking. She has a plain face that, while not altogether unattractive, is not very memorable. In order to smother her insecurities about her looks, she wears make up all the time. It is rare to see Beth without make up, and she usually goes unnoticed when she is bare-faced. In spite of living in the Down Below, she is rather pale. Beth has medium-length dark brown hair that can't seem to make up its mind on whether it wants to be curly or wavy. Her eyes are golden brown, and they are almost always defined by dark eye liner. The beginnings of crow's feet are starting to show. Somewhat of a workaholic due to her stubborn nature, Beth always has this tired, worn-out look about her. A lot of people think she's older than she is, with some people even believing she's Bedlam's mother rather than his sister. This also stems from the fact that Beth dresses very conservatively for a woman her age; she usually doesn't show much skin at all. The only non-average thing about Beth is her height, which is 5'6", making her rather tall for a girl. She weighs 142 lbs, and while she looks unhealthily skinny on every other part of her body, her hips are rather wide which gives her a pear-shaped body. FACE CLAIM: Miranda Lotto from D. Gray Man PERSONALITY AND MORE THE GOOD: Even before she was forced into the role of a mother at thirteen due to her mother's absence, Beth has always been very maternal. She's the kind of person who enjoys taking care of looking out for others like a mother hen. She practically adopts people the same way someone incessantly adopts kittens from a kill shelter. Needless to say, the girl is a major sweet heart. She's pretty much sweet on everyone. Or at least she tries her best to be nice to everyone. She has her bad days though, and there are just some people she couldn't like even if they put a gun to Bedlam's head. But the girl does try. She's also very generous, even if her generosity sometimes inconveniences her. And she'll complain about the inconveniences too, but Beth couldn't even fathom not helping someone. She's also incredibly loyal to her loved ones, and would do anything for them. Above all, Beth is resilient. She's not the sort who easily runs from a bad situation. Rather, she likes to make them run away from her if they even so much as glance her way. If she has to take some bad crap, she'll stumble but get back up... and throw it right back at whoever pitched first. THE BAD: Beth may seem very patient, but the truth is that she has a nasty violent temper. She has little tolerance for things that get on her nerves, so she tends to explode when she gets pissed. Beth is also incredibly stubborn. Not the 'stubborn as a mule' kind of stubborn, though. Eventually you'll be able to drag a mule into whatever you want to do. Beth's a mountain sort of stubborn: hard and immovable, and unless you're going to climb over her she isn't going to move the way you want her to. Along with her stubbornness, Beth has a lot of pride. Beth is incredibly proud of who she is, but her pride hinders her from getting help when she should ask for it. Beth is a very guarded person. The wall she puts in between herself and others is so thick that most people can tell when she's trying to keep them away. Though Beth's friendly, and she'll take care of people, she won't allow herself be taken care of or get deeply emotionally involved with someone. Beth's also incredibly insecure. She lacks the confidence her brother does and is insecure about her looks, her inability to get intimate while sober, her job as a mother figure to Bedlam, and her abilities as a parts dealer.. and those are only the main ones. BELIEF: While not incredibly religious, Beth does believe in the Aurealian faith and keeps up with the traditions. However, she does eat poultry on the rare occasions she gets her hands on it. LIKES AND HOBBIES: Beth really loves to cook, but her passion doesn't love her back. Her creations are always mutations of food, but that doesn't stop her from making them nor from shoving them down the throats of the people she cooked for. Another hobby of Beth's is scrap metal art, and while she's talented she can't imagine getting paid for her artwork. DISLIKES AND TURN-OFFS: Due to being batted around as a kid by her drunk father, Beth absolutely hates being touched and being physically close to another human being in general. Don't put your arm around her, or touch her shoulder, or even try to shake her hand: she'll hurt you, once she's over the shock that you actually had the indecency to lay a finger on her. The exception to this is when she's drunk; then she's your typical touchy-feely lush and then some. As you can imagine, Beth doesn't care for flirtatious men and being hit on (which doesn't happen often). Beth also really dislikes animals, as they tend to be messy. She especially hates dogs because all they seem to do is want to jump on her. ASPIRATIONS: Beth's dream is to earn enough money to get the hell out of Khthonia and take her brother with her. She doesn't care what she ends up doing in Elysia so long as she's there. LOOKING BACK: Beth's fondest memory is when her now ex-fiancée proposed to her. He had set up electricity for her business, The Salvage House, and had decorated the front with lights that formed the words: "Marry me?" Beth was incredibly happy and agreed on the spot. Beth's worst memory is the day her mother left the family. Beth is incredibly traumatized by this, and it was thanks to her mother leaving that she was forced to grow up at thirteen.
